Abused Dog’s Rescue Story and Transformation Is Warming Hearts

A 2-year-old dog named Whimsy was found barely surviving on the streets, abused, neglected, and starving. When she was brought to a shelter in New York, the volunteer who brought her in said the dog was so weak she couldn’t even lift her head.

Isabel Klee, Whimsy’s foster mom, brought her home just two weeks after the shelter found her. It was love at first sight, and Isabel set out not only to keep her alive but to help her thrive; to teach her about love and, really, how to be a dog. Their story is warming hearts everywhere, and it’s one of our favorite transformation stories we’ve ever written about.

We’re so glad that she got the happily ever after that she deserves! Isabelmade us tear up when she said at the end of the video that Whimsy had only known cruelty before, but now she’ll only know love for the rest of her life. Moments like this are exactly why adopting shelter animals is so important!
