Lucas, Humane Society of Schuyler County

(WETM) — Today’s Pet of the Week is a fluffy ball of cuteness from the Humane Society of Schuyler County.

Lucas is an Australian Shepherd mix and is believed to be around five months old. The energetic puppy was brought to the humane society pretty recently after living in a home with dogs and cats.

Lucas is a very smart pup, considering his breed. He is already potty-trained and is picking up on basic commands. The sweet boy would make a great family dog, as he gets along with everyone.

Pet of the Week

Lucas is always down for an adventure, but has no problem cuddling up on the couch. When fully grown, the pup will be small/medium-sized.

Upon adoption, Lucas will be neutered, vaccinated for rabies, kennel cough, DH(L)PP, have had a complete fecal analysis, treated for internal and external parasites, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative and flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. The adoption fee for puppies is $275.

Those interested in adopting Lucas can stop by the humane society on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 10-1, Saturdays from 10-4, and Sundays from 2-5 without an appointment or call at 607-594-2255 to schedule an appointment. People can also visit the humane society’s website to fill out an adoption application.

Further, the Schuyler County Humane Society is holding its “Paws for a Cause” online auction, starting Thursday, Nov. 6, through Sunday, Nov. 9, with all proceeds benefitting dogs and cats.
