PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — On Nov. 1, visitors to Archival Brewing can attend the inaugural Howl-A-Ween, a dog costume contest and community event for Grand Rapids-area dog owners.
“We would love to invite everybody who has a dog or just enjoys being around dogs to come out,” Levi Knoll, owner of Archival Brewing, said. “Get some dog love and hang out.”
Shelter says more dogs are being abandoned. Why?
Beginning at 5 p.m., guests can enjoy live music, lawn games, campfires, food, handcrafted beverages and more as they mingle with fellow dog owners at Archival Brewing’s heated, outdoor deck.

“Bring your dogs in dressed as their favorite Halloween costume,” Knoll said.
Dog costume contest entries will then be posted to Archival Brewing’s Facebook page for its followers to vote on, and the winning dog and its owner will receive a dog bandana and complimentary dog treats.
“We’re a very dog-friendly brewery,” Knoll said.
71 dogs rescued from home with ‘hazardous conditions’
Adoptable pets from Hearts of Hope dog rescue will also be available, as well as specialty dog treats from Pink Paw Patisserie, a dog treat food truck.
