Every pet has moments filled with sass and stubborness, but some kittens, like Storm Shadow, have attitude to spare. This black kitten can be as sweet as cotton candy when it’s time to nap or cuddle, but when food is around, he turns into an entirely different animal!
Cat mom Kari Thomas gave Storm Shadow the nickname Ham Goblin, Jr. for a very appropriate reason: He becomes an insatiable goblin whenever he sees ham! She even shared a video of his chaotic mealtime behavior on December 17, and her followers can’t get enough. Although the beginning of the video is a bit loud, Storm Shadow’s one-of-a-kind gremlin noises have everyone turning up the volume when he starts eating!
Kari has her hands full with this one, that’s for sure! Storm Shadow has the confidence and attitude of a dozen kittens, but when it comes to mealtimes, it can be a bit much.
“Why is your dryer lint so angry?” asked @michelle_chris1011. Clearly, he’s not a fan of being handled while he eats, especially when it comes to ham, his favorite food. Luckily for this little goblin, Kari, AKA @badmouthmama93, is helping him get used to it one chaotic snack at a time.

He also has very understanding fans like @midwest.miss.jess, who agreed, “I’m the same way around prosciutto, so lets give him a break.” Fair enough!
Storm Shadow has certainly earned his title as ‘Ham Goblin,’ but his viewers also compared the spicy cat to things like a chainsaw, a sleep paralysis demon, and of course, a Gremlin. Whether or not this is what happens when he’s fed after midnight, it sure has everyone feeling entertained.
How to Feed an Angry Kitten
Kari is an experienced cat mom who knows the best way to handle a kitten with food agression is with a helpful tool like tongs. Gloves and long sleeves can also protect skin from scratches and bites, but the best thing Kari can do is help Storm Shadow get comfortable with being handled and sharing a meal.
Breaking a sassy kitten’s food agression is a time-consuming process, but Kari knows that enjoying the journey and sharing a laugh are just as important as helping kittens meet their goals. After all, it’s hard not to love the Ham Goblin and his sassy personality!
