Grandpa Finally Gets Pomeranian Puppy He’s Wanted for Years and It’s Love at First Sight

It doesn’t matter how old we get; adopting your new companion is a big deal and comes with a lot of emotions. It’s especially true when you’ve wanted a pup for decades and are finally about to get your wish.

This is what one senior recently went through, and during the journey of finally picking up his new best friend—a fluffy little Pomeranian named Lulu—sparks fly. In the meet-cute of the century, these two are what the internet was made for.

If you woke up and thought, “I could use a happy cry today,” I’ve got you. The video shared by @heidit2603 is the epitome of “tears of joy.” Watch the moment Pop meets the cute Pomeranian, his newest soulmate.

When the caption says, “Lulu has healed his heart,” that much is clear! From the nervous anticipation of meeting his new companion to the sheer happiness on his face when he holds her for the first time, this video has everything except more time showing the new pair enjoying their time together.

“OMG, my heart just exploded,” one person commented. “Protect Pop and Pop’s dog forever,” another shared. “My heart will never be the same again,” another viewer added.

Hundreds more shared pictures of themselves crying over the most wholesome post to ever exist, and it’s too relatable, because I definitely shed a tear over this new power couple.

If you want to cry more, here’s an update on the Pops and Lulu love story since going viral (yes, these two get even cuter)!

Why Pomeranians Make Amazing Companions for Seniors

When it comes to the perfect dog for seniors, it’s not a one-size-fits-all because every pup comes with their own personality quirks that either work with their new pet parent or they don’t.

That said, when it comes to Pomeranians, seniors will appreciate their compact size (but never a compact personality), their high intelligence, which makes them easy to train, their attentiveness, which helps them as alert watchdogs, and most of all, their happy-go-lucky demeanor that makes them a joy to be around.

I only see good things for Pops and Lulu to come—and I hope there’s more content of this match made in heaven for the rest of us to enjoy!
