Dogs can’t comprehend how much time passes when we leave them. Our quick, 5-minute trip to the gas station probably feels like years to these cutie-pies, and they remind us with the best welcoming “pawty” each and every time.
Poppy, the Boxer, isn’t known for showing her emotions too often, but when she does, it’s because she’s happy Grandpa came back… after 4 hours.

One of the best traits of dogs is their unmatched, over-the-top joy to see us no matter how much time has passed. There will never be anyone more excited than them. It’s honestly the best feeling in the galaxy.

For a typically subdued, straight-faced pup, this elated Boxer can’t hold in her feelings about Grandpa (nor should she)! The 28-second video is the perfect example of why we don’t deserve dogs. They love with every fiber of their being and show it as often as possible.

“THERE IT IS! Finally, Poppy being a Boxer!” one fan joked in the comments. Another pointed out her adorable “Boxer zoomies,” which should be a trademarked term. Plenty of others are enamored with the bond Poppy and Grandpa share—until he sits in her spot on the couch (IYKYK)!
Poppy Is Usually Pretty Chill
There’s no doubt in my mind that Poppy is definitely living her best life and possibly better than me, too. Known across the web as Princess Poppy for her very specific bedtime routine, which includes pajamas, getting tucked into Mom and Dad’s bed with an eye mask, and watching a movie or her favorite show on the iPad, this is one bougie girl!
This is more proof that shows her “normal” mood, so you can better appreciate her off-the-wall joy for Grandpa!
If Poppy is genuinely happy seeing her people, it’s all due to the lavish life she lives that helps calm and relax her outside of that. Either way, it’s great seeing the many sides of this sweet, pampered, and very loved girl!
