Rescued Dog Falls in Love With Stray Cat and the Rest Is History

Brooke Morosca had noticed a stray cat hanging around her apartment complex, so she wasn’t surprised when the cat eventually showed up on her balcony. What she didn’t expect was that her rescued black dog, Rhys, would fall in love with the cat, but that’s exactly what happened.

Watch as Rhys spots the cat and immediately begins his mission to become her new best friend. He lies by the door when she’s on the other side, watches her every move, and even brings her his favorite toys. It’s clear these two are completely smitten with each other!

We laughed when Brooke shared in the caption, “Follow along for updates, I fear we were chosen.” But how could she say no to all that cuteness?!

Viewers Beg Brooke to Bring the Kitty Inside

Viewers quickly become invested in Brooke and Rhys’ story, and have some fun things to say about it. @MikoHarm spoke for all of us when they said, “So you gonna let Rhys’ sister in or what?? Please don’t stress us out!”

Everyone applauded when @Amiyahnoob demanded, “Open the d*mn door!” @_not_stacy us added, “Wait – why is your cat still outside?!”

Another commenter spoke for Rhys and said, “Ma, can you save her like you saved me?” Brooke replied, “I know! He also definitely told her I’m a sucker for a stray!”

@Lucy Stool swooned, “And then he brought his toys to the cat!!!!!” @Holly pointed out, “This is one of those ‘I don’t have a cat, but my dog does’ situations…”

Commenter @SarahBaye8015 asked, “So her name is Feyre, right? Just checking to make sure you’re on theme here…” Feyre and Rhysand are the central romantic characters in Sarah J. Maas’s A Court of Thorns and Roses series. Brooke replied, “LOL! I know, how perfect would that be!”

And it’s looking like this story might have a happy ending! Just yesterday, Brooke posted a video of the two meeting, and it went even better than expected!
