A black Siamese mix named Toshka is confusing everyone in the best way. With a deep black face and darker points, but a warm brown body, this cat genuinely looks like he threw on a perfectly fitted fur jacket before heading out. As adorable as my own three cats are (two orange boys and a Calico lady), none of them has fur as striking as the kitty you’re about to meet. He looks like a walking, purring fashion icon.

The contrast on this black Siamese mix is so clean it almost looks intentional, like a fashion statement. His sleek black head and legs blend into that chocolate-toned body in a way that makes you do a double take. Is it lighting? Is it genetics? Or is Toshka just committed to outerwear? Check this out.

There aren’t many comments, likely because the account appears to be based in the Czech Republic, but honestly, the visuals speak for themselves. One thing about Toshka, though, this kitty has some claws on him. In another clip, you can definitely see that he is not just serving fashion. He is equipped.

It made me think about our own crew. When we adopted Tarkus, he was already declawed on his front feet, something we would never choose ourselves. But for our other cats, nail trims are just part of life. And if you have ever tried trimming a cat’s nails while they are fully alert, you know it is a high-risk situation.

How To Trim Your Cat’s Nails

Trimming a cat’s nails does not have to be dramatic. One trick we have discovered is timing. The best moment is when they are sleeping or drowsy from a nap. That soft, heavy, post-sunbeam sleep is your window.

Use proper cat nail clippers, press gently on the paw to extend the claw, and only trim the sharp tip. Avoid the pink quick inside the nail. Keep sessions short and very calm. Sometimes we only do one or two paws at a time and call it a win for the day.

Because while Toshka may look like he is wearing a fur jacket, those claws underneath are very real.
