Woman Rescues Cat Trapped in the Snow and the ‘Cat Distribution System’ Does Its Thing

With much of the country experiencing below-average temperatures this winter, it’s heartbreaking to hear about a cat being dumped in the snow with no shelter, no food, and no way to stay warm. Sadly, that’s the story TikToker CoriRae shared, but thankfully, this one has a happy ending.

CoriRae was inside her home when she heard a cat crying outside her window. She went out to investigate and searched her entire yard, which was covered in deep snow, before finally spotting the cat. What happened next is a perfect example of the cat distribution system working its magic.

Aww! The sweet cat was so happy to see CoriRae! She shared more about the rescue in the caption. “Found this sweet crying baby in the snow last week after hearing her through the window. I didn’t see her eyes shining at first, but then there she was. I’m out of breath because the snow was deep, and I was running through the yard like a psycho looking for her. LOL!”

Sweet Reactions to CoriRae’s Decision to Keep the Cat

CoriRae decided to keep the cat after the cat chose her, and they named her Luna. One commenter shared, “She was so brave, taking those steps in the snow to get to you!” @Ali A agreed, “You literally saved that cat’s life!”

Another commenter got nearly 22,000 likes when they joked, “IF YOU DONT SHOW ME THAT CAT LAYIN ON A FLUFFY BLANKET INSIDE IM GOING TO CRASH OUT LOL!”

@Christine NH shared, “My heart breaks for all the animals that people abandoned, especially when it’s extremely cold. Thank God you found each other! She’s such a love bug!”

CoriRae went on to explain that she lives on a dead-end street, and people often dump animals there. In fact, Luna was one of four cats that were dumped during the snowstorm.

None of the cats were microchipped, and they ended up going to different houses. Neighbors tried to find who they belonged to, but it didn’t take long to realize they’d been abandoned. Fortunately, all the cats have homes now, and Luna picked the perfect person to call her own.
