There is just something about the way cats and dogs interact that is innately funny, charming, and sometimes just plain old bewildering.

Take the Bernese Mountain dog and his new feline sibling in this video, for instance. Even though this big, fluffy guy has had “hundreds of hours” of training on how to be “civilized,” it all goes out the window as soon as his new feline sibling does the most innocuous thing, LOL.

Hey, maybe that cat knows something the rest of us don’t? Maybe some serious nonverbal communication that we humans aren’t equipped to pick up on was happening here? Or maybe there is some unexplained behind-the-scenes drama going on when this video wasn’t being recorded?

But whatever the case may be, that cat really knows how to get a rise out of her new canine sibling, LOL. All it takes is a little lift of her paw and the tiniest swipe, and her Bernese Mountain dog sibling is going absolutely bananas!

Of course, social media had some theories about what was really going on here. Instagram user onyi810 theorized that this Bernese Mountain dog was simply being playful because they were “super excited to have a buddy.”

And Instagram user atkins.alison commented that this big fluffy guy was just playing around when she wrote, “His tail is still wagging. He thinks it’s a game. Good boy.”

While Instagram user mdmrail joked that, “All that unnecessary prancing for zero outcomes while the cat Jedi master magically mind controlled the state of flux.”

This Bernese Mountain Dog Is an Excellent Big Brother

As this other video shows, this Bernese Mountain dog is a fantastic big brother to his new cat sibling because he is so in tune with her needs.

In this footage, he uses his buttons to communicate to his human parents that his feline sister wants to play. It really shows how affectionate and intelligent this Bernese Mountain dog is. Is there really any doubt that this guy is the best good boy ever?
