Black Labrador Fakes Being Stuck in Car Just To Keep the Fun Going

Dogs can be master manipulators… not because they’re naughty, but because they know they’re too adorable, and no matter what, they can get what they want by being extra cute! Paw parents fall for it almost every time. No matter how hard we try (myself included), there’s just no way around the cuteness factor.

Sully, a 4-year-old black Labrador, knows how to win his mom’s heart and pulls out all the stops to get her to give in to his every request. She fell for his tricks again a few days ago after a car ride, and thanks to her TikTok video, we can watch the master at work.

As the video starts, Mom tells Sully, “I know you can get down because you did it at Dutch Bros. You did it at the vet, and you did it at Grandma and Grandpa’s.” She adds, “You do this every time we get home!”

The Labrador starts pacing in the back of the car, and Mom jokes, saying, “Oh, was it something I said?” She then reminds him that treats are waiting for him, and that’s when his tail begins to wag back and forth… he clearly understands the word “treats!”

Many Viewers Could Relate to Sully’s Behavior

One TikToker said, “Oh, so much like my little boy. We can walk for 3 miles, no issue, UNTIL we get to our driveway, then the brakes come on. Refusal to move. It’s like some magic comes over him, and he becomes an impenetrable 17-pound wall of Westie.”

Then a fellow Labrador parent admitted, “My Black Lab was so devoted to his refusal to go in the house, he’d jump out of the car, get his treats, and then jump back in the car… I was so proud of his commitment.”

Ultimately, Mom had to promise a cuddle session on the couch to get Sully to finally jump down from the car. He drove a hard bargain, and once again, he won!
