English Mastiffs Bowser and Benny love when their human grandma comes to visit because they know it means one of their favorite treats is on its way, and Grandma is more than happy to deliver.
Standing at just 4’9″, and not much bigger than her two 200-pound grand-dogs, Grandma takes her sweet time paying the “cheese tax.” She slowly pulls the package from the fridge, carefully opens it, and makes the boys wait until she’s ready to hand it over. Watch until the end to see the mess left all over the floor; it’s clear evidence that their patience was starting to wear thin!
Bowser and Benny’s mom admitted in the caption, “These big boys have their grandma trained to spoil them. They have her wrapped around their little paws.” We’re not sure about the “little” paws part, but the rest seems to be pretty spot on!

Of course, commenters had a lot to say about the dogs’ reactions to Grandma doling out the cheese tax. @Sheila Albedyll pointed out, “The amount of drool on the floor below Bowser LOL!” @Gogirl2026 was thinking the same thing, “Someone left the faucet on Bowser.” We laughed when mom said at the end that all that drool was normal!
PetMD points out that if you are considering a Mastiff, get ready for the drool. “Mastiffs are known to be excessive droolers, and pet parents need to keep a small towel handy for quick cleanups.”
@ronearc also had a big dog and shared, “Our 150-pound Newfoundland took 5 minutes of complaining to stand up, but if anyone touched the cheese grater she could teleport to them.” Every dog we know loves cheese!
