When Lisa Noble Brat Hilton first heard reports of puppies being abandoned at a cemetery in Cleveland, Texas, she and her animal rescue team sprang into action. Little did they know that their mama had been abandoned, too!
Some mama dogs are wary and protective of their puppies, but this friendly dog couldn’t have been more grateful for the help. Liberty County Animal Advocates made sure she and her babies were fed, hydrated, and calm before transferring them to the rescue, but not before falling in love with the mama dog family’s happy-go-lucky vibes.
What a happy family! Some mama dogs are too nervous and protective to let anyone get near their puppies, but this brave dog knew that Lisa’s team was there to help. She was so excited to see them that she nearly knocked Lisa over!
Commenters like @amandagray noticed “the way she hunkered down to show she’s a nice girl.” This sweet mama has definitely been around people before! She knew exactly how to greet her rescuers and was an attentive parent to all her babies, but there’s no denying how relieved she was not to be on her own anymore.

From their much-needed snacktime to loading up the transport van, this litter of puppies couldn’t have made their rescue any easier. If this is a sign of what’s to come, they’re going to have no trouble finding forever homes once they’re old enough to be adopted. Liberty County Animal Advocates has teamed up with Better Together Dog Rescue to bring this entire family to Massachusetts, where they’ll decompress before looking for their forever homes.
Learning to Trust Again
“The way dogs forgive humans and still trust us after betrayal,” has viewers like @truthbetold reaching for the tissues. Whoever abandoned this adorable family doesn’t deserve them anyways! Many rescue dogs would be wary of humans after being left behind like this, but somehow, they know who’s truly there to help.
Lisa and her crew are busy rescuing dogs in Texas, but this little family is having some well-deserved down time. Once they’re all rested up, the rest of their rescue story can begin!
