Fur babies seem to grow overnight. Whether you have a puppy or a kitten, it seems like they get bigger every time you blink. Their little bodies grow into their oversized fluffy paws and before you know it, they’re able to hold their large heads up and carry themselves with much more coordination. Seeing those little canines and kitties mature into adulthood can be bittersweet since those early days are so downright adorable.
This litter of Maine Coon kittens have all developed quite a bit in just two short months and each pretty kitty is starting to take on their own personality.
In the TikTok from @wildmane_mainecoons, seven adorable Maine Coon kittens each took their turn to model in a “before” and “after” format. The clips showed each tiny kitty at one month, and then again at three months. The comparison could make you do a double take.
“How much Maine Coon kittens grow in 2 months,” the onscreen text read as the group of kittens hung out on the stairs. Six of the kittens were gray, and one was black. They were each named after Santa’s team of reindeer.
First up was Rudolph, whose fur was the darkest of the litter. Then Prancer, who didn’t seem thrilled to be put on display. Vixen was next, with a striking difference in fur growth from month one to three.
Dancer was noticeably larger than two months prior, with those trademark big paws. Dasher’s coat seemed to quadruple in fluffiness, considerably more lush than his siblings. Blitzen clearly wasn’t happy to be on camera, and Cupid’s fur was fuller but not as pronounced.
The quality that stood out the most was each kitten’s eyes went from blue in month one to yellow in month three. Both shades were beautiful.
Though some of the siblings grew more than others, each kitten had a marked change in just 60 days.
When Are Maine Coon Cats Fully Grown?
These beautiful cats experience rapid growth at the three-month mark, then continue to noticeably develop until around nine months, when growth slows down.
Maine Coons reach 75-80% adulthood at one year, and full growth at 4 to 5 years. Males weigh between 15 and 25 pounds as adults, and females are usually approximately 10 to 14 pounds.
These pretty kitties seem to be right on schedule and are already irresistible charmers.
