Learning how to navigate the world as a dog must be an overwhelming experience for puppies out there, but fortunately, many of them have older dogs to look up to while they try to figure it all out.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, the half Husky<\/a>, half Golden Retriever<\/a> puppy in the video below has the best Husky big brother to learn from along the way \u2014\u00a0and he’s even teaching him some of his best tricks!<\/p>\n In this video shared by @halfhuskybros, we can see big brother Tyson really showing baby Teddy all the ropes.<\/p>\n Not only does he show him how to do the practical things, like using the doggy door and how to “sit pretty,” but he’s also imparting a bit of fun wisdom, too… like teaching Teddy how to steal shoes from around the house!<\/p>\n Teddy (whose full name is Theodore, naturally) is just eight weeks old, and the family only brought him home earlier this month, as they’ve shared in previous videos.<\/p>\n For such a little pup, he sure seems to be catching on fast!<\/p>\n Related: Golden Retriever Reminds Family It’s Bedtime in the Most Adorable Way<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Of course, not all adult dogs are going to have the desire to actually teach the puppies in their lives how to be a dog… but fortunately, puppies also learn a lot by just observing their behavior.<\/p>\n As The Honest Kitchen pointed out, puppies will instinctively follow older dogs<\/a> around and mimic their behavior, and this can be a very helpful tool when you’re in the process of training your puppy. Taking them on walks together can help your puppy learn how to behave on a leash, and letting them take the same potty breaks can show them how the whole bathroom thing is done, too.<\/p>\n To help reinforce the good habits that your puppy is learning from your older dog, make sure to give your older dog a reward like a treat when they are behaving the way you want your puppy to behave… and of course, a treat for the puppy when they follow suit.<\/p>\n And if they pick up a few tricks along the way like Teddy did?
