One happy otter at the Point Defiance Zoo &amp; Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington was in for a real treat. The animal was gifted with the most perfectly pint-sized pumpkin to play with by his handlers and he had an absolute blast! The otter loved every minute spent with his brand new \u201ctoy.\u201d It\u2019s so incredibly cute.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Clara is a rescue otter who is getting used to life at the zoo. One way that her handlers have tried to help her heal is by playing with her. Hence giving her a pumpkin to pal around with.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Is this not the cutest little play session that you\u2019ve ever seen? Who knew that otters liked pumpkins so much? What a cutie! The woman instructed the otter to place it back in the same spot every single time. What a good girl!<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cTiny pumpkin, big progress!\u201d the video\u2019s caption reads. \u201cClara the rescued sea otter is learning new behaviors through positive reinforcement training. These sessions help strengthen trust with her care team, and make learning fun!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">People in the comments section were rooting for Clara and her journey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThe little pats her paws make awww,\u201d praised one person.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI know these aren\u2019t pets and I can&#8217;t have them at my house \u2026 but\u2026. I totally understand why that commenter wanted an otter of their own. Otters are incredibly social and friendly creatures. They get along with other animals and humans alike.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">There is a major caveat to this, however. Otters in the wild should probably be left alone and not approached. They are wild creatures. You should never, ever take a wild otter home as a pet.
