The Golden Retriever is basically a one-dog moving team when his humans are looking to refresh their house. In fact, Duke\u2019s mom recently caught the pup doing a little \u201credecorating\u201d all on his own. Although I\u2019m not so sure that the woman appreciated the dog\u2019s initiative.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Duke had a vision. And that vision was to move a lamp from one side of the room right into his dog bed, where it would look <em>much<\/em> better.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It\u2019s not that Mom doesn\u2019t appreciate the help, but perhaps Duke needs to ask before he rearranges the furniture. The <a href=\"https:\/\/pethelpful.com\/dogs\/how-to-crate-train-a-golden-retriever-puppy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Golden;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Golden<\/a> was quick to grab a special lamp that was in a box of things to be moved \u2014 much to his mama\u2019s chagrin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><strong>Related: English Cream Golden Retrievers Race to Get On the Dog Bus &amp; It\u2019s So Precious<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The dog\u2019s attraction to the object probably stemmed from the fact that it was shaped like a stuffed animal. He thought it was a toy! So naturally, the Golden Retriever snapped it up and brought it over to his bed for him to gnaw on.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI did get it away from him after a while. This one even surprised us!\u201d the woman admitted in the video\u2019s caption.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">People in the comments section couldn\u2019t get enough of Duke and his favorite piece of decor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIn Duke\u2019s defense, this one is understandable because it\u2019s a stuffy that has a lamp element. Lol,\u201d wrote one person.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cDuke says he wants a nightlight by his bed. The corner needed a little light and music so he can nap better,\u201d someone else teased.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cDuke now has an emotional support lamp,\u201d chimed in a third commenter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cDuke works harder than I do decluttering, can I hire him?\u201d one person asked.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-4 text-xl font-bold md:text-2xl\">Golden Retrievers Like to Retrieve<\/h2>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It\u2019s not just a nickname, Golden Retrieves actually do like to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesprucepets.com\/dog-breed-profile-golden-retriever-1117969\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:retrieve;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">retrieve<\/a>! Originally bred in the Scottish Highlands, the breed was used to help hunters track down their kill. Goldens would find birds either on land or in the water for their humans. They even went long distances to bring their kill back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">That instinct has never left Goldens. It\u2019s why they love retrieving even today.
