They may look grumpy while doing it, but they love their families. They&#8217;re willing to put up with our annoyances because they love us! Many cats love kids, or at the very least, they tolerate them. As long as a kid isn&#8217;t grabbing, pulling, or biting the cat, the relationship between them could very well be fine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">On Saturday, October 25th, one cat revealed that his now roommate isn&#8217;t so bad. She wanted to read him a book, and while he wasn&#8217;t loving it, he wasn&#8217;t hating it, at least:<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It seems like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@crazeforpink\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:@crazeforpink;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">@crazeforpink<\/a> really lucked out here. While they may not be the best of friends, the two of them are certainly not stone-cold enemies, and that&#8217;s perfect for them right now. Cats often have a hard time with babies, especially as they get older.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Luckily for this family, though, the cat was around for the entire pregnancy. Though he&#8217;s still wary of the baby under most circumstances, he&#8217;s not running away from her! Since she&#8217;s a literal baby, she&#8217;s not quite there yet, but it&#8217;s a good effort! She&#8217;s trying anyway, and he&#8217;s tolerating it; though he&#8217;s not amused, at least he&#8217;s listening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He loves to try to get in on some 1-on-1 time with mom, too, particularly during their &#8220;self care&#8221; dates:<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He loves to feel included, as he should! After all, he was mom&#8217;s baby first!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-4 text-xl font-bold md:text-2xl\">How to Help Cat Tolerate Baby<\/h2>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">If you&#8217;re pregnant or thinking about getting pregnant and you have a cat, you have a lot of things to think about. Mostly, how to make sure the two of them get along. It&#8217;s never as easy as you think it&#8217;s going to be, and prep should begin as soon as you get the news.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">If you want your cat to at least tolerate your baby, you should:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"mb-4\">\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-decimal\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Get them used to crying sounds early with YouTube videos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-decimal\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Bring them around other babies, if possible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-decimal\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Supervise interactions between them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-decimal\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Stay on top of making sure the baby is always gentle with the cat.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Prevent smack, grabbing, or biting as much as you can.
