Viewers immediately respond with, “This reunion is giving me all the feels!” and “Awww so adorable! Love it!’

A Corgi and their giant Malamute friend, have not seen each other in a year. When the Corgi realizes who they’re going to see, they pull on their leash -a total blur of little paws and utter determination. The Malamute is just chilling until they get there, and they realize who it is, then all bets are off! It’s all fur and joy. There’s full-body wagging and nuzzling and some record-setting happy pups vibes. It’s adorable, take a look.

I like it when they compose themselves long enough to “shake” and get their treats, because — TREATS, and then they get right back to being obsessed with each other. This is pure dog friendship in its rawest form, and it’s so endearing to watch.

Why Dogs Never Forget Their Best Friends

<dialog aria-label="Modal Dialog" aria-modal="true" class="fixed inset-0 z-4 size-full max-h-none max-w-none bg-white hidden"/>

Shutterstock

There’s a fascinating essay by Dr. Marc Bekoff Ph.D., in Psychology Today titled “Do Dogs Recognize ‘Dog’ and what they’re feeling from afar?” He delves into all the different factors that help dogs recognize whether a dog’s familiar to them, what their mood and intentions are, and which senses help them determine this.
