In the adorable video, a tiny foster Orange Kitten looks like he’s having a full-on playdate with a ghost. He hops, bats the air, and pounces with total enthusiasm, clearly having the time of his life.

What makes it even sweeter is that he’s completely blind, which somehow makes his happy little hops even more heart-melting. He bounces around confidently, swatting at the air with the kind of joy only kittens can have. It’s hard not to smile watching him live his best life, proving that even without sight, he’s got all the spirit (and a few ghostly friends) any kitten could need.

This darling kitten was shared on TikTok by @irie3ghxa8, and everyone is so in love with him. Dude’s having the time of his life though.”

Related: Blind Australian Shepherd With Cancer Tugs at Heartstrings in Beautiful Video

Another person asked, “I mean, there’s gotta be something there eventually, right?” Someone else responded, “That is the best interpretive dance I have ever seen, no notes.”

“This fight doesn’t have anything to do with me, but I’m gonna go find something safe to do anyway. Just in case,” another hilarious comment read. “He’s not fighting, he’s just doing a little dancey dance,” someone else suggested. He’s just keeping his ghost pals happy for Halloween!

Even though this little guy above can’t see, it’s still important to provide enrichment for blind cats and kittens. Keep reading to learn the best way to keep them happy, healthy, and having an absolute ball.

Why Blind Cats Need Enrichment

<dialog aria-label="Modal Dialog" aria-modal="true" class="fixed inset-0 z-4 size-full max-h-none max-w-none bg-white hidden"/>

Image via Shutterstock/Casey Elise Christopher

Blind cats need plenty of enrichment because their world relies so heavily on their other senses. Without sight, they explore through touch, scent, and sound, which means activities that stimulate those senses are crucial for their happiness and confidence.

A blind kitty mama by the name of Jess explains that toys that make noise, like crinkle balls or bells, can help them track movement, while textured mats and scratching posts give them something safe to explore. Jess also offers this advice from the Caticles website, “Cats need routine in their lives to stay happy and comfortable. Imagine if you lived outside and fought for your survival. You’d want your day to be predictable, right? This is how we have to live with our domesticated cats. These instincts are ingrained. Even if they have never been outside. Don’t move things around too often. Especially your blind cat’s stuff.”

Another idea is gentle play sessions that involve scent-based games or treat puzzles, which can help them feel engaged and secure. Regularly changing up their environment in small, predictable ways (like offering a new toy or treat) also keeps their curiosity alive without overwhelming them. Enrichment isn’t just about keeping them busy, but it’s what helps blind cats stay active, independent, and joyful in their own special way.

🐶SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾

This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Oct 27, 2025, where it first appeared in the Pet News section.
