Butterflies are fascinating to so many of us\u2014and that includes two curious pups who couldn\u2019t get enough of the fluttering visitors<\/a> they discovered in their backyard one recent afternoon.<\/p>\n Millie, the Dalmatian puppy, and her sister Mabel, the Red Fox Labrador, are big fans of the outdoors. They can usually be found setting sail in their makeshift pirate ship in the family pool, but during a recent quiet afternoon, the pair decided to try their paws at some more landlubber-type activities.<\/p>\n The adorable duo was spotted hanging around a low-lying bush in the yard as multiple Monarch Butterflies gracefully fluttered about. Of course, the ever-enthusiastic Labrador couldn\u2019t resist trying to catch one\u2014but don\u2019t worry! Millie and Mabel got an extra-special treat with front-row seats to the Monarch Butterflies preparing for their big migration.<\/p>\n According to the National Geographic Kids<\/em> website<\/a>, Monarch Butterflies migrate south and west during the winter months. They sometimes travel 1,000 miles or more in search of warmer weather.
