The person who found her called D.C. Animal Control, who turned her over to the rescue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A volunteer of the rescue told WUSA9 that Apple is &#8220;skin and bones.&#8221; Her lower back, hips and knees are injured.
