That’s true of human kids, and it’s also true of goat kids. As this video of Cheddar and Swiss, to adorably rambunctious goat kids, shows, playing is a universal part of childhood.

But what makes this video so special is that this video was taken merely hours after these two little cuties were born, so this is one of the first times that they have ever played together!

Although Cheddar and Swiss are both new to this world, and playing with each other, it’s already clear that they are a couple of naturals! As the human who filmed this adorable footage excitedly remarks, “Oh my God, they’re already play sparring!”

In this video, you can see them playfully butting heads and jostling with each other. We guess that such things are merely instincts for Cheddar and Swiss. According to this video, Cheddar is the baby girl, and her brother, Swiss, is the baby boy.

Related: Rambunctious Goat Kids’ Attempts To Climb All Over Donkey Friend Are the Cutest Chaos

Quite adorably, their mother’s name is none other than Mama Feta, and their daddy’s name is Colby Jack. That’s just too cute, LOL. Cheddar and Swiss are Mama Feta’s third and fourth goat kids, and Colby Jack’s fifth and sixth! Wow, their father is a very busy goat, LOL!

More Precious Baby Goats

In keeping with the theme of adorable baby goats with cheesy names, this wildlife sanctuary also recently welcomed baby Fontina to its family. She is the half-sister of Swiss and Cheddar. Her dad is (once again) Colby Jack, and her mama is Brie.

According to this video, Fontina is the second baby that Brie has had with Colby Jack. And yeah, and like we said, Colby Jack really knows how to keep himself busy, LOL! He must be a very proud father, LOL!

One thing’s for sure, Swiss and Cheddar won’t just be play sparring with each other because they have so many siblings to play around with.

And hey, if they do get bored with each other, we’re certain that Colby Jack is ready to give them some more siblings very soon, LOL!

🐶SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾

This story was originally published by PetHelpful on Feb 10, 2026, where it first appeared in the Pet News section.
