I love all<\/em> types of animals, but I am willing to admit that there is no animal on earth who makes for a better welcoming committee than a dog. There’s something about how happy they are to see you every single time you walk in the door that just never gets old \u2014\u00a0and how much fun it is to watch them when they realize they’re about to see another one of their favorite people.<\/p>\n In the video below, Riva the Irish Setter<\/a> is about to see her grandad, and she’s so happy she’s just about to lose it (and by “it” I mean that wagging tail).<\/p>\n This footage shared over the weekend on TikTok from @kloestiktok0 shows Riva posted up at the window, wagging the entire back of her body and making the most adorable noise when she realized her granddad had arrived. He most definitely has to be one of her favorite people.<\/p>\n And seeing Granddad walk up to the window and wag back? Not only is this normal, but it’s also a sign that your dog is having a really<\/em> happy moment, which means you must be doing something right as their human!<\/p>\n As PetMD points out, a fast, upward-pointed wag is a sign that your dog is very excited<\/a> or very happy about something, while lower wags can point to anxiety or unhappiness in a certain situation, but fortunately, that isn’t what’s going on here.<\/p>\n The outlet also noted that the full body wag is more common in breeds with small or nubby tails, though that doesn’t seem to be the case for Riva.
