The soldiers first dragged the anaconda onto a paved area, where they forced it to release the poor dog. The video, which quickly went viral, shows how the soldiers battled the snake and eventually freed the dog.<\/p>\n In the video, we can see how one soldier holds the snake by the neck, while a plainclothes man gripped the tip of its tail. After they released the dog, they helped him recover. Anacondas are among the largest snake species in the world, killing prey through constriction. They grab an animal, wrap their body around the target, and tighten each time the prey exhales, restricting breathing and blood flow.<\/p>\n Brazil holds one of the largest habitats for anacondas because of the Amazon rainforest and the Pantanal wetlands.
