They always find a way to grab someone’s attention, whether they intend to or not. Sometimes that involves grabbing their canine sibling’s tail and going for a ride as that dog sprints through an open field with them in tow.

But sometimes, spider monkeys like to go for a ride in a more traditional way. Like in a car, or a tiny Jeep, to be more precise. However, the spider monkey in this video doesn’t just go for a ride. No, that would be too plain, too ordinary.

In this video, they elected to spice things up a bit by twerking on the hood of the Jeep like they were an extra in a music video who had just been promoted to the star of the shoot.

We guess you could say that this monkey was gunning for A Star Is Born vibes. They definitely seem to fancy themselves a star in this video, LOL. Yeah, this curious little primate, who goes by the name of Rooster, certainly wasn’t interested in riding in a car the normal way.

Related: Rescued Spider Monkey Trying To Play With Canine Siblings Quickly Turns Into the Cutest Chaos

Rooster’s human dad invited him to sit in the passenger seat, but Rooster quickly got bored with that and decided to hop onto the hood of the car for some monkey business.

With his tail gripping the windshield to keep his balance, this cheeky little monkey started hopping up and down on the hood of the car, twerking up a storm. At the very least, no one can say that this wasn’t a memorable car ride.

Rooster’s Brother Went for a Ride, Too

In this other video, Rooster’s brother, the adorably named Froggy, got to go on his own Jeep ride. However, unlike his more rambunctious brother, Froggy elected to stay inside the vehicle for the duration of the ride.

Mostly, he climbed atop his human dad’s head or cuddled in his lap as he drove. He actually seemed a little confused and nervous while the car was driving.

Maybe Rooster sensed his sibling’s nerves from afar? Because he came out to join him, this time calmly taking a seat on his human dad’s lap with his brother as they drove along, which was every bit as cute as it sounds!

🐶SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾

This story was originally published by PetHelpful on Feb 17, 2026, where it first appeared in the Pet News section.
