As dogs get older, they definitely slow down, and their energy isn\u2019t quite what it used to be, even if they don\u2019t realize it. But every now and then, they get a burst of it, just like this senior Golden Retriever named Hudson does in this video.<\/p>\n
The video starts with Hudson slowly “running away” from his mom to go say hello to a stranger. He knows Mom is watching him, and when he turns around to see if she’s “chasing” him to try to catch him, the look on his face shows how proud he is of breaking the rules!<\/p>\n
This is just the sweetest! Hudson’s mom<\/a> said that he thought he was being naughty, and we think he looks adorable doing it! It’s not based on their age; it’s actually based on weight, according to certified professional dog trainer Adrienne Faricelli.<\/a><\/p>\n She explains that dogs weighing 15 pounds or less are\u00a0considered seniors\u00a0at age 11. Dogs that weigh between 16 and 50 pounds typically reach senior status around 9 years of age.
