Going on a day trip with a shelter dog might just be the sweetest thing Instagram user @rachelishaa did for the dog, and she documented all of it in an adorable video. The creator asked staff at ACCT Philly which dog had \u201czero interest.\u201d Then she took that dog out for a day trip to show people what they were missing \u2014 and honestly, with the amount of love that dog offered the creator, people seemed to be missing out on a lot.<\/p>\n
The video begins with Sweety, the shelter dog, sitting inside a crate, unaware that she is about to go on a beautiful day trip. In the on-screen caption, the creator writes, \u201cI took out a black dog who had zero applications, here is what happened,\u201d and in the post caption, she adds, \u201cI asked the staff which dog who had zero interest, here is what happened. Sweety ACCT-A-247048 is located at acctphilly.org in Philadelphia, PA.\u201d<\/p>\n
The pup looks alert initially. She rides in the backseat, panting, watching everything, trying to figure out what will happen next, as the text on screen explains, \u201cShe was not comfortable with me yet.\u201d Another moment reads, \u201cAnd when I said let\u2019s go, she just sat there and didn\u2019t know what to do.\u201d You can see it in her body \u2014 she seemed interested, but unsure.<\/p>\n
The creator then sets up a blanket picnic, brings out treats and toys, and as they sit together, the on-screen text reads, \u201cShe kept checking in with me,\u201d and later, \u201cShe started to really open up.\u201d<\/p>\n
By the end, Sweety looks like a different dog. She stands taller and accepts affection while \u201csmiling the whole time,\u201d and the comment section acknowledged it all. People called Sweety \u201cbeautiful,\u201d begged others to \u201cshare, share, share,\u201d and urged someone to \u201ctake Sweety.\u201d And let\u2019s be honest, this adorable pup deserves a forever home.<\/p>\n
The video does not pretend to fix a shelter dog\u2019s life in a day trip, but it gives a dog who nobody wants a chance to feel safe again.<\/p>\n
