Macaws<\/a> are supremely smart, energetic, fun, and curious companions who are capable of learning human speech like it’s no biggie. Though not all of them speak as clearly as Hook, others can learn to say 100 to 300 words or more!<\/p>\n They’re also one of the longest-living Parrot species<\/a> with an average lifespan of 50 to 100 years, but with that comes a huge commitment. This bird requires a lot of affection, attention, and cage-free time, usually forming a strong bond with just one person.
