Molly, an adorable, affectionate 10-year-old pit bull<\/a>, found herself tied to a tree after her owners had abandoned<\/a> her. According to The Dodo<\/a>, Molly had \u201calways been a loyal dog<\/a>, but, unfortunately, her first family couldn\u2019t reciprocate that same love back,\u201d and so when the house was sold, neither Molly nor the family\u2019s cat was chosen to move with them.<\/p>\n While the cat was allowed to free roam outside, all Molly could do was sit and wait. Alone. Luckily, the young couple that bought the house<\/a> agreed to take the animals<\/a> in as part of their closing agreement, and as soon as the papers were signed, they rushed over to check in.<\/p>\n In a TikTok video<\/a>, April Parker, the new homeowner, walks up to Molly, who is visibly crestfallen with teary eyes. But as soon as Parker begins cooing, \u201cBaby girl\u2026you\u2019re gonna get a new home,\u201d the pitty instantly perks up, all smiles and tail wagging.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are going to make her life so good,\u201d Parker wrote in the video\u2019s caption. \u201cShe will never be left all alone tied to a tree.\u201d<\/p>\n The video has been seen upwards of 4 million times. Countless people commented on how enraging it was to see a dog treated so carelessly.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve had my dog since she was 7 weeks old. She just turned 10 a few days ago. I literally cannot imagine doing this,\u201d one person wrote.\u201d<\/p>\n Another added: \u201cThe tears in her eyes\u2026she doesn\u2019t understand why they could just leave her, it breaks my heart. People like that shouldn\u2019t be allowed to be pet owners.\u201d<\/p>\n Subsequent videos show Parker freeing Molly from her leash<\/a> and introducing the sweet pup to her husband, with whom she was instantly smitten. It\u2019s clear that this doggo was both relieved and elated to be taken in by her new family.<\/p>\n Since being rescued, Molly has accompanied her new mom and dad everywhere.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s sticking to our side,\u201d Parker wrote<\/a>. \u201cShe won\u2019t stop following us around. It\u2019s so sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n Parker has created an entire TikTok<\/a> channel documenting her newfound pet\u2019s journey, aptly named \u201cMolly\u2019s New Life<\/a>,\u201d showing Molly enjoying warm baths<\/a>, plenty of treats, cuddles\u2026all the finer things in life.<\/p>\n But what Molly seems to enjoy most of all is car rides:<\/p>\n And in case you\u2019re wondering, the kitty is doing well, too<\/a>, though it still prefers to stay outdoors.<\/p>\n Molly also has two indoor cat siblings who instantly welcomed her into the family. The video below shows one of them, Joofus, comforting a trembling Molly with kisses during a thunderstorm.<\/p>\n It seems that Molly has gotten the safe, loving home she\u2019s deserved all along.<\/p>\n We know that animal abandonment is fairly common. According to the ASPCA, approximately 2.8 million dogs entered shelters and rescues in 2024 <\/a>alone.
