If your cat is naturally shy and fearful, letting them stay indoors is best for their confidence and building that curiosity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">If your cat is highly energetic and confident, they might constantly seek out outdoor adventure. This is especially true if your cat was a rescue, in which case they may struggle with the concept of being locked inside a house all hours of the day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">If your cat is destined for outside life but you still don&#8217;t want to expose them to the dangers of passing cars and wild animals, consider getting a &#8220;catio&#8221; setup, wherein your cat can enjoy a screened-in outside space with lots of room to explore, jump, climb, scratch and hunt, all while remaining in a safe and secure environment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">You might also just need to up the enrichment activities in the home, perhaps by setting up cat trees and other vertical spaces, as well as experimenting with puzzle feeders, playtime games and other mentally and physically stimulating experiences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Harness training and leash walks with your cat are also a great way to get that outdoor adventure time in without having to forgo human supervision. It might not be the same as running free, but it beats staying inside all the time, if you&#8217;ve got a rambunctious kitten on your hands.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Still, if you decide to go full outside cat with your fur baby, just remember to text with the treats every once in a while.
