Perhaps on a hunting trip, going hiking, or taking a safari trip in <a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/a-z-animals.com\/animals\/location\/africa\/?utm_campaign=feed&amp;utm_source=rss_feed&amp;utm_medium=in_content&amp;utm_content=1284049\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:Africa;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Africa<\/a>. But, as we well know, wild animals don\u2019t just know the bounds of the wild. They often cross over into our neighborhoods, towns, and cities. Let\u2019s see the most unlikely place this <a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/a-z-animals.com\/animals\/bear\/?utm_campaign=feed&amp;utm_source=rss_feed&amp;utm_medium=in_content&amp;utm_content=1284049\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:bear;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">bear<\/a> was seen in the video above.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-4 text-xl font-bold md:text-2xl\">Black Bear Family Seen in New Jersey<\/h2>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The short YouTube video clip shown at the beginning of this blog post takes us to <a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/a-z-animals.com\/animals\/location\/north-america\/united-states\/new-jersey\/?utm_campaign=feed&amp;utm_source=rss_feed&amp;utm_medium=in_content&amp;utm_content=1284049\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:New Jersey;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">New Jersey<\/a>. This is where a black mama bear and her cubs are seen. The Newsflare YouTube page picked up on this video and just had to share it with their followers. Newsflare shares various content, such as breaking news, entertainment, and animals.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-4 text-xl font-bold md:text-2xl\">New Golfers on This Golf Course<\/h2>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">At the start of the video, we see the filmmaker keeping his distance. He zooms in so we can see what is happening on this golf course up ahead. There is a massive mother bear with her young cubs in tow.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The <a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/subjects\/bears\/black-bears.htm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:National Park Service notes;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">National Park Service notes<\/a> that a mother black bear will typically give birth to one to three cubs at a time. This mother appears to have four cubs with her, which is larger than average but not unheard of for black bears.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Two of the cubs march ahead of the mother and enter the forest nearby. The other two can\u2019t help but be enthralled by the flagstick. Across North America, black bear numbers are commonly estimated in the hundreds of thousands, with some sources placing the population roughly between 600,000 and 900,000. <a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/dep.nj.gov\/njfw\/bears\/black-bear-biology-and-behavior\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:According to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">According to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection<\/a>, Fish &amp; Wildlife biologists estimated 3,158 black bears in 2020 for the region north of Interstate 78 and west of Interstate 287.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In consideration of how high their population numbers are overall, it might seem that 3,000+ is not that many. Black bears are most common in northwestern New Jersey, but <a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/dep.nj.gov\/njfw\/news-2025-10-09-public-reminded-to-secure-trash-and-other-potential-food-sources-as-bear-activity-increases-prior-to-winter-denning\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:NJDEP says;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">NJDEP says<\/a> they have been reported in all 21 counties.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">For now, this bear family\u2019s golf course visit is best treated as a memorable wildlife encounter as well as a reminder that black bears can appear near developed areas, especially where habitat and food sources overlap with human spaces.
