Amigo means friend in Spanish, and you can make an amigo out of any dog!<\/h2>\n To find your soul dog is the most amazing feeling, but for your soul dog to find you?! Now, that is an out-of-body experience. It’s the most precious feeling ever and the most beautiful bond. This American couple was backpacking in Mexico. While they were there, a cute little dog started following them everywhere. And we mean, everywhere! The shop, the bar (until 3 AM), to work, home, and eventually, they were convinced he needed to follow them all the way back home, to Philadelphia USA. And so, they did just that and brought their new amigo home, whom they named Amigo.<\/p>\n\n\nHow did your dog get the name ‘Amigo’?<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
We love seeing a canine glow up. From street dog to spoiled family dog, this is what we want to see more of. Dogs deserve all the love in the world and we should provide them with that. It’s not easy living on the streets and this pup had to do that for who knows how long? Luckily, he wasn’t in too bad of shape, so they got him all of his shots, are feeding him well, and now he’s been with them for over two years, living his best life. He even has a feline sibling that he adores! They get caught cuddling for a nap, often. If that’s not a dog glow up, than I don’t know what is!<\/p>\n\n\nWe were backpacking in Bacalar, Mexico. This lovely pup started following us everywhere. at restaurants, at bars, anywhere we went<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\nsince he was a street dog, he didn’t have a name, but everytime we saw him… we’d say “Hola Amigo” and eventually he knew that was him.<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\nThe rest is history… we found a way to bring him home. Listen, we’re not uncultured swines (Toy Story <\/i>reference)! We know that in some cultures and small towns around the world, stray dogs are still part of the family, even though they live on the streets. But this couple made sure that this pup didn’t belong to anyone, and in fact, they seemed encouraged to take this sweet canine companion home. Heck, the dog himself never wanted to leave their side. Amigo is living his best life now, with tons of toys, a raincoat for rainy walks, and love from everyone around him. We hope this family continues to live their best life and maybe learn a thing or two from each other. We have no idea what Amigo went through on the streets, but he was still able to welcome these humans into his heart. And these humans could have fallen for stray dog stereotypes and thought he was dirty or something and ignored him. But instead, they opened their hearts and home to him.<\/p>\n
It’s a beautiful love story for the entire fur family!<\/p>\n
