What is the Cat Rating System?
If you’re new to the Cat Rating System (CRS), never fear—it’s pretty easy to get the hang of. All you have to do is rate your cat’s characteristics on a scale from 1-10. The only catch is that you can’t ever issue a rating lower than 10/10. The CRS is designed to celebrate our feline friends, so 10/10 is the minimum rating. Got it?

Rating My Cat
I’m a little nervous, but I thought I would try my hand at rating my own kitty cat Jazzy based on what I’ve learned from reading How to Rate a Cat. Here goes nothing.
About Jazzy
- Location: Chicago, Illinois
- Gender: Female
- Age: 2
- Type: Who’s to say
Maddie Topliff
Jazzy’s Rating
Eyes: Look at those pupils! They’re huge! 78/10.
Moufs: The bleppiness is off the charts. In our household, we substitute the word blep for blem. No matter how you refer to your cat’s tongue, Jazzy is receiving a 94/10 in the moufs category.
Peets: Despite her relaxed pose, Jazzy’s mittens are on full display. 59/10.
Purrsonality: Finally, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention this kitty’s sweet-as-pie disposition. Jazzy is the biggest cuddler and best little sister to her dog sibling Pickles. We truly lucked out in the cat category. 100/10.
