Sometimes keeping our pets out of certain rooms turns into a full-on battle of wits, and they almost always win! TikToker @theessencekitten thought they’d found the perfect solution on Amazon to keep their orange kitten, Essence, from sneaking into a room. But it quickly became very clear that Essence had other plans!

Her pawrents installed a pet screen that had adhesive edges that attach to the door frame and a zippered door, thinking it would do the trick. It didn’t take long for the clever kitten to figure out that she could unzip it just enough to slip right through, which is exactly what she was doing when she was caught in the act!

The song playing along with the video made it even funnier! Essence’s mom said in the video’s caption what the adorable escape artist would say if she could, “I laugh at your Amazon Finds! You can’t keep me out! ” For those keeping track, it’s a score of 1 for Essence and 0 for mom!

People couldn’t get enough of Essence’s antics; the video quickly got 1.8 million views and over 2,000 comments. Some of the comments were just as funny as the video itself! @Meow Mix pointed out, “Just your regularly scheduled orange cat-tivity…” Orange cats definitely keep their humans on their toes!

@Ashleigh Knox made us laugh when she shared, “You thought LOL! Baby, that’s an orange cat!!
