Meet the North Jersey adoptable pets of the week for Nov. 14 Berkeley and Randy

Meet NorthJersey.com’s adoptable pets of the week for Nov. 14!

Each week, NorthJersey.com would like to highlight adoptable animals from local shelters and rescues.

If you foster, work at, or volunteer with a North Jersey animal shelter or rescue and know of some animals who are in need of a loving fur-ever home please send a photo, description and adoption information to amwallace@gannett.com to have your adoptable pets featured in the next edition.

This week we are featuring Berkeley and Randy from the Associated Humane Societies Newark Shelter.

Berkeley is one of AHS Newark’s longest residents. This 3-year-old boy came into the shelter after being surrendered in March. Since then, he has become a shelter favorite who enjoys his time with the volunteers and staff.

AHS Newark describes Berkeley as “such a good boy” who is well deserving of a home. He is dog friendly and approved for a home with kids, according to the shelter, which says that his smile is “big enough to chase away the most grey skies on a cloudy day!”

Randy

Randy is the longest resident at AHS Newark, creeping up on 450 days at the shelter.

This boy is a dream dog for an active family who loves to play! He is a big fan of toys, and his favorite game is “tug.” He spends his time out on walks with volunteers, demolishing a plushie or gobbling down on treats.

Though Randy prefers to be the only pet, he has more than enough love to share with you!
