Of course, dogs are happy when the family is home and all together, because they are highly social animals who have a strong emotional attachment to their humans! Their joy is a result of a combination of factors, including the recognition of familiar scents and sounds, the promise of affection, and the joy of being part of the pack again after a period of separation.

Why Do Dogs Thrive in Packs?
Dogs have an inherent love for packs due to their ancestry, as they descend from wolves, which are social animals who rely on groups for survival. Their pack mentality means they seek social connection and thrive in groups, viewing their human families as their pack.
