Rescue Pit Bull Who’s ‘Never Been Inside’ Has the Best Time in First Comfy Bed

Rescue dogs will make me cry every single time. They’re so sweet, and so many of them deserve so much better than what they got. It’s unbelievable, how precious these dogs are, and to think that someone could ever think to hurt a dog.

One time, I stepped on my dog’s paw and immediately took her to the store to pick out a new toy. No way! Not all dogs are so lucky, however. They have rough starts, but somehow, they persevere. Some of them are lucky enough to last all the way to being loved again.

Recently, one precious foster Pit Bull got to experience two things for the first time: unconditional love and a very comfy bed. He’s completely enamored with both, and he deserves only the best in life:

Mythological Dogs rescues and fosters so many dogs, but Charlie is very special. He’s from her town, and she’s been watching his mistreatment from the beginning. His previous home had several puppies, and he fed them all out of one big tub.

Unfortunately for Charlie, he was the smallest, so he was picked on by his siblings. By the time they were done eating, there was no food left for him, so he became emaciated. He also had worms, and he had never been inside before.

When Charlie was in his crate, his foster mom was kind enough to put a bed on the bottom. While it was a kind gesture and he loved it, it also made it nearly impossible to get him out of there. He wanted to stay on that comfy bed forever!

She did manage to get him out, though, and over the last few days, Charlie has truly been living his best life in her home. He is loving it!

This is so sweet! I love him, and I love how brave he’s feeling. Hopefully his forever home will feel even lovelier than this!

There’s something called a 3-3-3 rule when it comes to rescue dogs:

  1. Three days to decompress and relax.

  2. Three weeks to get the hang of your home.

  3. Three months to really settle in.

It’s almost never instant. Take your time and don’t rush them. They’re grateful for every little thing!
