Do you know the muffin man? Well, you’re about to!
The team from the KG Foundation in Michigan was doing outreach in a Detroit neighborhood on November 8 when a sweet, injured Pit Bull, wandered up to ask for help. The poor dog had been left behind when his family moved away, and he was still left to fend for himself after being hit by a car over a week before. Still, he couldn’t have been more polite and grateful for the helping hand.
KG Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to decreasing pet homelessness in the Detroit area, so these volunteers were the perfect people to help when the stray dog needed it most. Despite walking with an obvious limp, Muffin Man’s rescuers had no idea just what poor condition he was in until he was officially off the streets.
Isn’t this heartbreaking? This dog has so much love to give, but he was left behind as if he were nothing. Fortunately, the folks at the KG Foundation and their partners at Union Lake Vet Hospital are taking the very best care of him, so he’ll never want for anything again.
“I just don’t understand how anyone could walk away from their baby,” @a.manda.b04 commented. I’m in the same boat! My love for my dogs grows with every passing day, so it’s hard to fathom why anyone would leave their furry friend behind.

It’s even worse to think that Muffin Man didn’t get the help he needed after being hit by a car and shot by a pellet gun, but I know I’m not the only one breathing a sigh of relief now that he’s safe and pain-free. He’s such a sweet and beautiful dog, but watching him wag his tail despite all he’s been through is truly inspiring!
A few days after the initial rescue, Muffin Man’s new best friends gave their online viewers the update they were all waiting for. The rescue dog may not be ready to find a forever home, but he’s being cared for and pampered, just like he deserves to be.
What a sweetheart! This gentle soul is stealing hearts around the vet clinic left and right, and it’s easy to see why. Between his soulful eyes, his turbo-speed tail, and his love of affection, Muffin Man could be anyones new BFF.

The Internet has fallen in love with this rescue dog’s loving personality and big block head, and nothing will be sweeter than seeing him being spoiled rotten in a loving forever home. He may still have a long journey ahead of him, but the friends he’s made along his way will be cheering him on the entire time.
