Frenchie Is in Her Diva Era as She Presses Button for On-Demand Foot Rubs

To know a French Bulldog is to love a French Bulldog. The adorable, affectionate pups are known to have moderate exercise and grooming requirements, but the breed has otherwise earned a reputation for being high-maintenance dogs. One of the most popular small-breed dogs, Frenchies—with their bat ears and scrunched-up faces—are hard to resist. The charming, loving dogs want about as much attention as they give. For one Frenchie’s family, that means on-demand foot rubs for their favorite furry friend.

In a charming video shared to social media, an empowered Frenchie named Pop Tart (love the name) can be seen lounging—er, basking—on her human’s lap, anticipating incoming foot rubs. The little cutie is wearing her pajamas as she sticks her foot out for Dad to rub her paws. When Dad doesn’t comply, she presses a toy button that audibly says “foot rub” when pushed. Pop Tart presses the button and then puts her paw in the ready position. When this dog wants a foot rub, she gets a foot rub.

Diva mode activated.

Pop Tart’s post has gone viral with over 80,000 fans tuning in for the pooch’s charming exchange with her human. Pop Tart has earned legions of fans from the video, with many barking up the comment section to share their thoughts on her antics.

“Love how she chucks her foot up there,” wrote one commenter. Another wrote, “Little queen.” And another quipped, “A girl that knows her worth.”

“Her side eye means business,” wrote another member of Pop Tart’s fan club.

What to Know About French Bulldogs

Fans of Frenchies need not be deterred by Pop Tart’s demands. The versatile breed fits with more families’ lifestyles. Their minimal exercise needs make them an easy breed for most households. Frenchies don’t bark much, which will appeal to most families and their neighbors.

Following Pop Tart’s lead, French Bulldogs do like affection and companionship. Add one to your family and you’ll avoid endless doggie walks, which will likely be replaced by lengthy foot rubs and requests for more. It could be worse. This highly alert breed makes excellent watchdogs and gets along with most humans and other animals.
