Bringing home a puppy is so exciting, and we love it, but if you have any resident pets, it’ll definitely be a little tough. There’s going to be an adjustment period, but don’t worry, things will get better in time. Additionally, there are lots of dogs who will love a puppy from the jump!

Even if you think your dog and your puppy will hit it off right away, it’s important to proceed with caution. To be honest, there’s a good chance that it won’t even be the dog causing the problems, but the puppy.
On Monday, November 17th, one English Bulldog was trying his best to play gently with his new sister. He was being a total gentleman about it, but she was absolutely not having it. She was trying to bring the chaos to the function, and she mostly succeeded:
Moose the English Bulldog is the best big brother ever. No matter how much she was provoking him, he stayed gentle! He does look at mom several times, though, as if he’s asking how long she’s going to stay. Lucky for him, she’s staying forever! I bet he loves that fact!
Her name is Sissy, and she’s only been in the family for about 5 days. Those five days have certainly been something for Moose, but he’s trying to give her a chance. She’s stunning, too, with her beautiful Merle coat. She’ll grow up to be a gorgeous girl, and hopefully a great playmate!

Moose can be a little grumpy sometimes. He’s a guard dog at heart, and he can sometimes be a little apprehensive about strangers, but he loves his family. Once he warms up to you, he’s like a totally different dog.
Unless you’re the mailman, then you’re done for:
I wouldn’t want to mess with him! He’s perfect!
Bulldogs Are Gentle-Natured
Bulldogs might look a little mean, but they’re not at all! These dogs are sweet, kind, and generally super gentle: to be honest, they border on lazy a lot of the time. While they’ll always have their bursts of energy, they’re also often content to snuggle up next to you.
Not that Sissy knows that yet. She just learned she has limbs, okay? She has to use them for evil!
