We all have our favorite movies and TV shows that we can’t drag ourselves away from until the credits roll. Sometimes even our fur babies fancy a streaming show or feature film. My senior Dachshund tends to prefer anything animated, where my Pug mix is drawn to nature shows with furry four-legged friends. He feels he can relate to them.
Winston the Golden Retriever is clearly a fan of the Twilight franchise and couldn’t tear himself away from a suspenseful werewolf scene.
In the TikTok from @wackowinston, the gorgeous Golden was lying in front of the flatscreen TV with the lights out, making it look like he was in a movie theater. One of the Twilight films was playing that showed a pack of werewolves on the prowl. Winston was completely engrossed in the famed flick.
“POV My Golden Retriever discovering Twilight werewolves,” the onscreen text explained, with the caption adding, “Hush my show is on.”
The infamous love triangle between high schoolers Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), and werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) from the Quileute tribe, drew millions of fans to both the books by Stephanie Meyer and the subsequent film franchise. Apparently, the popularity of the plot transcends to fur babies.
Winston barely batted an eye as the intense scene played out. Maybe it’s because the wolf pack stirred the instincts of his ancestral line, or the precious pooch may just be a hopeless romantic who appreciates a dramatic love story. It was hard to tell but judging from the canine’s concentration on the dialogue, he may consider himself Team Jacob.
Dogs Are Drawn to Animals on the Screen
Sometimes our fur babies seem to watch our favorite TV programs right along with us, almost like they’re following the storyline. Dogs are actually drawn to the images on the screen rather than the plot.

Canines are attracted to films and shows that feature animals in motion. Nature programs are sure to get their attention since they highlight various four-legged friends involved in physical activities. The Twilight film series falls under this category thanks to those highly energetic werewolves.
Hopefully Winston was ok with who permanently won Bella’s heart when the Twilight franchise wrapped.
