When I was a little kid, one of the best parts of autumn was the changing leaves, especially when they’d fall to the ground. I loved playing in those fallen leaves, especially when my dad would rake them all up and create a large pile! Jumping in the leaf pile was truly pure serotonin. It was just so much fun. Sometimes, I’d even stay put in that leaf pile for a little while, staring up at the sky and taking the world in as it was in that moment—pure bliss.
So, when I saw a TikTok by @dognamedstella of a yellow Labrador named Mabel chilling out in a leaf pile, I immediately felt super nostalgic.

In the video, we see Mabel’s dad approach her. Once we reach Mabel, we see her chilling out, relaxing, maxing all cool in the leaf pile. As a queen should, honestly. Lying on her back in the leaf pile without a care in the world, Mabel looks like she has reached self-actualization. A flow state. Utter relaxation. I am jealous.
