Senior Dog Charms Toddlers on Manhattan Walk
In the video that crossed our TikTok feed, the Doxie mix can be seen taking a morning walk in Manhattan. The pup wags its tail as it comes across two backpack-wearing toddlers walking to school. The kids stop their morning commute to meet the loving Senior Dog, even returning to offer extra tail pets to the cuddly canine. We can’t tell who’s happier with the interaction, the little kids or the Senior Dog?
Commenters noted the little girl talking to her parent, identifying the dog not as a dog, but by describing it as, “Woof, woof.” It’s a cuteness overload and the kind of video one might watch over and over again.
“the little ‘woof woof,’” one commented, echoing the sentiments of many. Another observed, “So cute. Children have no prejudice. A doggy is a doggy.”
“They are so gentle with him,” noted one more.
This short, sweet doggie-kiddo interaction is a heartwarming snapshot of the instant bond dogs can form with humans, especially children. While it’s always essential to supervise any interaction between children and animals, these kids’ approach is just what this doggie ordered.
We hope this video provides a sweet moment in your day, too.
