Commenters Love Ringo’s Reaction to the Harmonica

Viewers loved watching Ringo listen to his dad play, and left more than 2,100 comments about it. Some of the comments garnered an incredible number of likes, too! Like @Krazii got nearly 99,000 likes when they said, “Curious dogs have to be one of the cutest things in existence.” Apparently, we all agree!

@proffesormulcahy got 92,000 likes when they asked, “Does it make more sense at a 45 degree angle, bud?” @Ben Schick replied, “It does. It helps them to determine where a certain sound is coming from. Shifting the ears to a different angle allows the sound waves to come in from distinct directions.” @marley8ball added, “Isn’t it kind of weird humans don’t do that too? It lowkey makes perfect sense to do that.”

Big brand @Shop BARK cracked us up and got 26,000 likes when they shared, “Hi there, dog expert here. This is actually dangerous for dogs, because they will force you to play Piano Man every single night until you forget what silence feels like.”

@Lawd of da Norf made us laugh when they admitted, “I thought the dog was gonna play the harmonica…”

Ringo’s reaction was clearly one of curiosity, and he seemed to enjoy hearing the harmonica. But keep in mind that other dogs might react totally differently. You might get a singer who howls along, or you might get one who finds the sound irritating or even a bit scary.

Wag! shares, “The higher notes and musical tones in harmonicas set a certain mood in dogs that causes them to howl. It does not mean that your dog does not like the music or that it is hurting his ears, it just means your dog is enjoying the sound in his own way. If the howling gets annoying, then you can either stop playing or encourage a different behavior in your dog.”
