Oriental Shorthair Cat Stealing Pasta Straight From Mom’s Fork Left Everyone Shocked

It’s no secret that cats have attitude. Even fictional felines like Garfield can out-sass a moody teenager, but not every feline has the same level of audacity. Some sneaky kitties are more willing to steal when no one is looking, but some cats like Chaska the Oriental Shorthair will take what they want regardless of who’s watching.

On November 19, the food-loving feline shocked even his mom when he stole pasta straight from her fork! It’s not unusual for him to hover nearby while his parents are enjoying a meal, but this level of brazen thievery is impressive even for him.

OMG, that’s a bold move, even for a cat! Luckily, his parents can see the humor in the situation, especially after the shock wore off. Besides, only one forkful was ruined, so there’s still plenty left for Mom and Dad.

“No hesitation, no shame,” commenter @ashendale wrote. “Chaska seems to be settling in as the alpha nicely.” You can say that again!

Cats know when they rule the roost, and this is the perfect example. At this point, he and his fur siblings need their own plates! This hilarious hungry cat is used to being hand-fed snacks like the king he is, so who can blame him for seeing a loaded fork as an invitation?

This cat is a total foodie! In this case, his parents should take his pasta theft as a compliment, though having to get a new fork in the middle of a meal is not exactly convenient. At least everyone got a laugh!

Oriental Shorthair Cats

Chaska and his siblings are Oriental Shorthair cats. This unique breed is known for its large ears and distinct facial features, though fans of this breed also know it for the strange ‘goose honk’ sound these cats make.

Don’t let their strange features fool you; Oriental Shorthairs are one of the most affectionate cat breeds you can find! Even when there’s no food involved, kitties like Chaska will never be far away.
