If you have just one dog at home, you might notice they sometimes act a little lonely, like they really need a furry friend. We’ve been thinking about getting our dog a puppy for that exact reason, especially since the cat who adopted us wants absolutely nothing to do with her!
Lincoln the Golden Retriever has a stuffed toy named Maverick, a little white dog he absolutely adores. In this video, his pawrents tell him, “Say goodbye to Mav,” and take the stuffie away. Lincoln has no idea what’s coming, but he’s about to meet his new puppy sibling that looks just like his favorite toy!
Lincoln’s excitement totally made our day! Hey brought little Maverick a toy! We can’t even with all of that cuteness! Lincoln’s mom said in the caption, “POV: You get your dog a puppy and stuffed animal, Maverick becomes real-life Maverick!” Now I totally want to get my dog a puppy for Christmas!

Commenters’ Sweet Reactions to Lincoln Meeting Maverick
Viewers left nearly 1,500 comments about Lincoln’s reaction to meeting his new little brother, and some of them warmed our hearts. @it’s Dez got 11,000 likes when she hollered, “GIVE HIM BACK HIS STUFFED MAVERICK TOO HE CAN HAVE BOTH!!!” Lincoln’s parents responded that the stuffed toy turned into the real Maverick, but commenters are so confused about why they took his favorite toy away. “I know, but I genuinely don’t understand why he can’t have both! They are so fricken cute though!”
We cracked up when @Ocean6739 joked, “He immediately brought you his giraffe stuffed toy like ‘here do this one next’. Tag me when he gets his giraffe.” @rocoone added, “Bro’s gonna check that magic box every day now!”

Since this initial video, Lincoln and Mav’s pawrents have shared several others, including this one showing their first night together. It’s proof that Lincoln is going to be the best big brother ever!
