What even are Golden Retrievers? Everyone’s favorite dogs always keep it interesting. They’re downright goofy! They really live in their own little world. Goldens are like little clowns that bring the laughs all day long. Although I’m not clear if one woman was laughing when her Golden decided to slide his way down a cobblestone hill while on a walk.
Why would he do that?! We’d love to be inside the dog’s head when he decided that he was done walking and was ready to glide down the hill. Sigh, I bet this wasn’t his first time doing this either.
If you don’t have one, you might not know that Goldens are as goofy as they are. So here is your wake up call that these dogs are so stinkin’ silly. They are always there for a laugh and a smile. Even when you’re trying to get through a walk.

Knowing dogs, the pup probably just wanted to feel the stones on his back. Or maybe he was scared of how steep the hill was! Or maybe he was tired of walking and this was his way of telling his mom that he was to stop. Dogs — they’ll always let you know exactly how they feel. Whatever he felt, we’re sure he had fun!
You can really never tell what’s going on in a pupper’s mind. Although lots of people in the comments section had a good laugh at this little jokester.
“That’s the most Golden Retriever thing I have ever seen,” one person wrote with a laugh.
“You know what, I bet that feels great,” someone else wrote.
“I feel like he only stopped because he felt you watching,” chimed in another commenter.
“So Golden Retriever coded,” one person praised.
Are Golden Retrievers Lazy?
The video above might have you convinced that Goldens are lazy dogs, but that’s certainly not true! Goldens are actually very energetic dogs, not lazy — one could even say they’re hyper! They’ll always keep you on your toes.
That being said, there are so many perks to having a Golden. Just expect the unexpected and you’ll totally be good to go.
