Huge Hotel Cat Barging Into Guest Rooms for Quality Control Deserves a Raise

One of the greatest perks of traveling is the chance to meet some of the locals. No, I’m not talking about people (boring), but all the cats and dogs who’ve deemed themselves official greeters to any and all visitors. If you’re really lucky, you’ll find that pot-of-gold hotel with a resident pet on-site.

During one person’s recent trip, a large, fluffy cat named Sam took it upon himself to check in on guests to be sure everything was on par with hotel standards. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you manage a hotel, please get yourself a hardworking employee like this dedicated kitty!

Apparently, the sound of meowing means it’s time for the daily quality control check, and Sam was primed and ready to do his rounds. He happily takes pets, treats, and lots of praise for his hard work. Also, I’m jealous and would love more than anything to stay in a place where he’s on staff!

As you can see, Sam is a big boy! The majestic feline is not shy and seems to love meeting new people. The fluffy kitty is perfect for the travel industry and sets the bar high for any other hotels that don’t have their version of Sam.

Without giving away the name of the hotel (for the kitty’s safety), @confused.pigeon8 shared a couple of other clips that really showcase Sam’s largeness. There’s one video you’ll need your volume up to hear this angel’s “indoor meow,” but I’m far more invested in the way he walks down the stairs because it’s *chef’s kiss*!

Talk about an absolute unit! I’ll bet Sam’s the most popular guy around those parts.

Hotels With Adorable Pet Ambassadors

If you’re looking for a place to stay that offers some version of Sam, you’re in luck! A Google search offers a lot of hotel, resort, and even swanky castle choices across the globe, but to name a few, Hilton’s hotel chain is among the top choices for being a pet-friendly option in general, but it also has resident dog ambassadors in multiple cities.

It’s the same with a variety of Fairmont Hotels and their superstar Golden and Labrador Retriever mascots who are standing by for all the new visitor attention. Likewise, if you’re headed to Hawaii, Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club in Waikiki has Bulldog Jack on-site to welcome visitors. And if a Mexican resort is on the agenda, there’s one with a “lifeguard” Frenchie who’s cute as can be.

I’ve decided quality control like Sam matters, so from now on, it’s only hotels with dogs and cats for me!
