Personally I think dogs are cute at all ages and stages, but there’s something really special about that puppy phase when they’re in the “ball of fuzz with a face” era of their lives. That’s when they’re the most possible to resist, in my opinion.
And when they do cute little moves like the Havanesepuppy in the video below? Well, that just makes me wish I could adopt about 100 of them. However cute you think these hops are about to be, multiply that by a million and press play.
On Monday, November 24, dog mom @shanmarie2006 shared what happens when she tells her puppy it’s time to come out of her crate. As soon as Moxley hears his mom say “out,” he hops out of there, catching some serious air in the process. Is this a dog or a kangaroo?
“I wasn’t prepared for this level of cuteness overload,” Moxley’s mom wrote in the caption, and truly, neither was I — and it seems like we can say the same for those who commented on the video.
One person wrote, “I’ll take nine.” Same!

Some Dogs Love to “Bunny Hop”
Hopping the way that this sweet baby did in the video might be more common in puppies, but there are dogs of all ages who love to hop around like this.
As Wag pointed out, this behavior is often referred to as “bunny hopping,” and it goes back to a dog’s hunting instincts as they feel the drive to pounce on grass to find prey who may be hiding there.
Some dogs also see hopping around as the same way they see zoomies: It’s an excellent way to get that extra energy out, especially if they’ve been cooped up all day and are finally getting the chance to run around in a wide open space.
Bunny hopping is a totally normal behavior in dogs, so if this is something your pup likes to do, you don’t need to be concerned, unless you notice other signs that might point to an injury, like if they avoid putting weight on one leg while they’re hopping around.
Hopefully, there will be plenty of years of happy hops to come for Moxley. He is just too cute!
